9月18日（木）、最終日となった伝道院彫刻小品展の鑑賞と出展していた作品の搬出のために京都に行きました。
On 18th September (Thursday), I visited Kyoto to see the Small Sculptures Exhibition: Hongwanji Dendoin, and to bring back my art pieces I was exhibiting there (It was the last day of the exhibition).
伝道院は歴史ある古い建築物なので入場するときには靴を脱いでスリッパに履き替え、作品たちを鑑賞しました。展示室と他の作家による作品の撮影は禁止されていたので、自分の作品の写真だけを撮りました。
As Dendoin is a historic old building, we have to take off our shoes and ware apair of slippers when we enter the building. It was not allowed to photograph the indoor venue and other artists’ works, so I took some pictures of my own art pieces.
それから東本願寺のお東さん広場に向かいましたが、途中で強い雨が降ってきたので折りたたみ傘を使いました。京都に行く前、雨が降る予感をしたので持参しました。お東さん広場の野外彫刻展は無事見ることができてすぐ伝道院に戻り、他の出展者とお話しすることができました。
Next, I went to see the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition: Higashi-Hongwanji Square. On my way to the venue, I was caught in a sudden heavy rain so I brought out my umbrella. Lucky that I was ready for that. After enjoying the outdoor exhibition, I went back to Dendoin and had some nice chat with other artists.
