5月22日（火）と23日（水）の創型展 Soukei-ten May 22nd and 23rd

22日（火）は天気が良く、母と母の友だち達と一緒に混雑した地下鉄に乗って上野まで向かいました。一昨年は天気は曇りでしたが、今回は美術館の建物が明るく見えました。友だち達は神奈川県や東京に住んでいる方たちで、この日に来てくれると約束してくれ、ゆっくり「創型展」の作品を見てくれました。

他のお客さんたちもたくさん来てくれ、興味を持って見てくれました。

The weather was great on 22nd (Tue). I went to Ueno with mother and her friends by the crowded subway. It was cloudy when I visited there two years ago, but this time, the museum building looked quite bright. Our friends, who are living in Kanagawa Prefecture and Tokyo, promised me to come this day, and they enjoyed the works exhibited in the Soukei-ten.
Many other visitors also came, and viewed with interest.

この作品は搬入する前に尻尾が折れたため、接着剤でくっつけて郵送しました。作品が美術館に着く頃に尻尾が折れたという伝言があるかもしれないと思い、心の準備をしました。やはり、私が展示を見に行ったときに作品を確かめると、小さく剥がれかかっている部分があり、残念と思いました。これからも気をつけていきたいと思います。

Before sending, the tail part of this piece was broken, so I glued the part and sent it to Tokyo. I was prepared to hear the news of the tail going off around the time the piece arrive in the museum. As I thought, when I visited the exhibition and check the piece, there was indeed a part coming off. I felt sorry, but I will be careful next time.

　

　23日（水）の朝、美術館に行くと受付から声がかかり、22日（火）に二人のお客さんが訪れ、私を待っていたということを伝えてもらいました。一人は大学時代の友だちで、もう一人は小学時代にお世話になっていた先生でした。その日の午後は基本的に在廊していましたが、たまたま席を外したときに、大事なお客さんたちを長く待たせてしまい、会うことができず、私はとても恥ずかしい間違いをしたと思いました。これからのグループ展示の際には、絶対にこのようなミスをしないようにしたいと思います。

In the morning of 23rd (Wed), the receptionist of the museum told me that on 22nd (Tue), two visitors were waiting for me for long time. One is my university friend, and the other is my primary school teacher. I was basically at the gallery in the afternoon on that day, but when I went out for a while, I made my two important friends waited for me for such a long time, and we could not see each other. I felt deeply ashamed for this mistake, and I won't do this again in the future group exhibitions.

　

一方で、23日には、本来は予定が合わず会えないと思っていた京都の彫刻家の友だちにばったり会うことができ、嬉しかったです！

On the other hand, on 23rd, I was glad to be able to see my sculptor friend, who I originally thought that I cannot meet this time! 

第66回創型展 The 66th Annual Exhibition of Soukei-ten

　2月の個展に出展した作品2点を、東京都美術館で開催される「創型展」に出展することになりました。「創型展」に参加するのは3回目となりました。

　I am going to exhibit two of my pieces, which I have shown at my solo exhibition in February, at the Exhibition of Soukei-ten at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. This is my third time joining the exhibition.

名称：『第66回創型展2018』

会期：2018年５月20日（日）～27日（日）（＊21日（月）休館）

開催時間：AM9:30～PM5:30 ＊入場は5:00まで（最終日は2:00まで）

会場：東京都美術館・ギャラリー（上野公園）
