第45回 京都彫刻家協会展の中止 The Cancellation of the 45th Annual Exhibition of the KYOTO Sculptors Association

　先日、5月4日(火）〜9日(日）に京都府立文化芸術会館で行う予定だった第45回　京都彫刻家協会展がコロナウィルス感染症の拡大と京都府での緊急事態宣言発令ため、中止されることになったという連絡が届きました。

 

　The other day, I was told that the 45th Annual Exhibition of the KYOTO Sculptors Association, which was scheduled to be held from 4th (Tues) to 9th(Sun) May, is now cancelled, due to the worsening state of the COVID-19 pandemic and the declaration of the State of Emergency in Kyoto Prefecture.

堂本印象美術館のほうは4月25日(日）〜5月11日(火）までが休館となりますが、12日（水）には再開する予定で、作品は23日(日）まで設置します。

INSHO-DOMOTO Museum of Fine Arts is also closed from 25th April (Sun) to 11th May (Tue), while it is planned that the Museum is going to be re-opened on 12th May(Wed) . My ceramic piece will remain at their garden until 23rd (Sun) May. 

 

 

コロナウィルスの問題が早く落ち着いて、展示活動がスムーズにできるようになりたいですね。

I hope that the situation will be improved soon so that we can do our exhibitions without difficulty again!

2021年春のエキチカアーティスト応援プログラム Ekichika Artist Support Program Exhibition, Spring 2021

3回目のエキチカ応援プログラムに参加することになり、作品を車に乗せて母と父と一緒に岡山駅地下一番街まで搬入しに行きました。これまでのエキチカ応援プログラムの展示では、修士課程修了後に制作した「異形犬」と「犬」をモチーフとした作品を出展しましたが、今回は「犬」作品を中心として、いくつかの小物作品も展示しました。ミニチュア犬作品や、取っ手によく知られる犬種のモチーフを付けたマグカップを含みます。

I decided to join Ekichika Artist Support Program Exhibition for the 3rd time, so today I brought my pieces to Ichiban-gai, Okayama Station by car with mom and dad. Previously at this exhibition, I have shown some of my “Heteromorphic dog” pieces which I made soon after finishing Master’s, as well as some “dog” pieces. This time, I am mainly exhibiting my “dog” pieces and several smaller pieces, which include tiny dogs and mugs with tiny dogs of some popular breeds on their handles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

最近はよく知られる犬種をモチーフとした作品の創作を始めたので、それらをエキチカアーティスト応援プログラムで展示してみたいと考えました。高さ90センチの自作展示台を持ってきて小さな犬たちを並べました。

Of late, I am working on dogs of popular breeds so I wanted to show them at the this Exhibition this time. I also brought in a 90cm-high handmade stand and arranged my small dogs on it.

第45回 京都彫刻家協会展 The 45th Annual Exhibition of the KYOTO Sculptors Association

桜があっという間に散って今回は展示活動の予定が増えました。今は第4回　京都府立堂本印象美術館野外彫刻展の開催中ですが、５月からは第45回京都彫刻家協会に作品を出展します。

The cherry blossoms this year have gone in a blink of an eye, while I have been keeping busy with preparing for several exhibitions. One is the one I am doing just now, the 4th Annual Open-Air Sculptural Exhibition at Kyoto Prefectural INSHO-DOMOTO Museum of Fine Arts. And now, I am preparing for the 45th Annual Exhibition of the KYOTO Sculptors Association, which is going to be held in May.

堂本印象美術館のお庭で野外彫刻展開催 Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition at INSHO-DOMOTO Museum of Fine Arts Garden

４月１日(木）朝早く父と母、愛犬と一緒に京都の堂本印象美術館への作品出展のため、出発しました。去年の１２月に京都府立植物園野外彫刻展の作品に参加してから、京都彫刻協会から４月の堂本印象美術館のお庭での野外彫刻展の出展の誘いが届き、それに参加することになりました。

At first thing in the morning on 1st of April Thursday, I headed out for Kyoto with my dad, mum, and our family dog, to bring my ceramic piece to exhibit at the garden of  INSHO-DOMOTO Museum of Fine Arts. I am so happy to have this opportunity, which was offered by Kyoto Sculptor Association when I joined their open-air exhibition at Kyoto Botanical Gardens last December.

　　　　　　　　　　　　　

美術館に到着し、早速作品設置の作業を始めました。その後、去年の京都彫刻協会の冊子とフライヤーと今回の堂本印象美術館での野外彫刻展のフライヤーをもらいました。

As soon as we arrived at the Museum, I started installing my piece. Afterwards, I received the last year’s brochure of Kyoto Sculptor Association, and some flyers of this time’s Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition at INSHO-DOMOTO Museum of Fine Arts garden.
