もうすぐ毎年恒例の京都野外彫刻展が近づいています。忙しい中、暑い夏から秋にかけて作品を制作しましたが、何度か失敗しました。写真は最終的に成功した作品です。
The annual Kyoto Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition is approaching. I worked so hard from this summer to autumn, but I had several setbacks. These are the photos of the pieces that eventually came out nicely.
電気窯のファルコーを使い始めて4年になりました。11月の本焼焼成の窯出しでは、釉薬が流れて棚板にくっつき事故が起きてしまいました。固まった釉薬をまんべんなく削りとって、アルミナーコーティングで補修しました。私は失敗のためとてもこたえました。
It’s
been 4 years since I started to use my electric kiln Falkor. After the
lost firing I did during November, some glaze dripped and stuck to the
kiln shelf. I thoroughly scraped away the glaze on the shelf and coated
it with alumina. It was a huge setback for me and I felt very low.
さて芸術の秋を迎え、今年もまた京都植物園での野外彫刻展がやってきたことをお知らせします。私も他の出展者の新作品を楽しみにしています。
Anyway, it’s officially autumn now (“the season of art”!) and I’m happy to tell you that the annual Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition at Kyoto Botanical Gardens is coming back. I myself am looking forward to seeing other artists’ latest pieces.

会場Ⅱ/京都府立陶板名画の庭 入園 16:30まで
入園料 ：［会場Ⅰ植物園］一般 200円/高校生 150円、
[会場Ⅱ陶板名画の庭]一般・高校生 100円、
[会場Ⅰ・Ⅱ共通券]一般 250円/高校生200円
(いずれも中学生以下、70歳以上は無料）
