春になり暖かい日寒い日が重なっています。アメ釉薬の原料が少なくなったので大きめのバケツに入れてもスムーズに色がはっきりしません。
マグカップの釉掛けをしやすいサイズの容器を使いました。
Spring has come and we are having warm and cold days. For I have fewer stock of materials to make ameyuyaku (glaze with lower iron) now, I couldn't produce the colour I wanted to make that smoothly, even though I used a larger bucket. To glaze my mugs, I used a larger container.
今回は素地のマグカップの取手にミニオブジェを直接にはくっつけないことにしました。
なぜなら、マグカップに釉掛けをする際にミニオブジェの部分には釉薬をかけたくないのですが、取手に最初からくっつけているとどうしても釉薬がかかってしまうからです。そこで今回はマグカップとミニオブジェを作る日にちを分けて、それから作品を両方乾燥した上で、取手の部分にミニオブジェを置く形にしました。
This time, I didn't attach my tiny dogs on the mugs' handles from the outset. For, I only want to glaze the cup and handle parts but if those tiny dogs were already attached to the handles, it's very easy to mistakenly put some glaze on those dogs.. and I don't want to do that. So, this time, I separately produced the mugs and tinny dogs, dry them respectively, glaze the mugs alone and attached those small dogs on their handles in the end.
朝の窯出しはゆっくりし作品を出しました。良い色になりました！
This morning, I slowly took my fired products out from the kiln. I really liked the colours!
その中に注文を受けて作った作品もあります。

ミニオブジェたちは色粘土でうまくグラデーションを組み合わせて作りました。
I made those tiny dogs with several different combinations of coloured clay.
フェーブも無事良い色になりました！
The colours of king cake trinkets (fève for galette des rois) came out nicely as well!
このハンカチーフをくわえた仔犬は京都で
出展できるように予定を立てています。
I am planning to exhibit this puppy with a handkerchief in Kyoto.
京都のギャラリーで個展に見にきていていただき知り合ったお客さんに愛犬
の写真を見せてもらい、このピアスを作って欲しいと頼まれたので作りました。
A visitor to my exhibition in Kyoto asked me to make earrings with her dog's face painted on. So I made this by modeling on the photo of her dog she showed me.
