京都野外彫刻展の搬入 Kyoto Open-Air Sculoture Exhibition

 Visited Kyoto Botanics to exhibit my ceramic dog there. The Open-air Sculpture Exhibition at Kyoto Botanics will open tomorrow.

 もうすぐ毎年恒例の京都野外彫刻展が近づいています。忙しい中、暑い夏から秋にかけて作品を制作しましたが、何度か失敗しました。写真は最終的に成功した作品です。

The annual Kyoto Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition is approaching. I worked so hard from this summer to autumn, but I had several setbacks. 電気窯のファルコーを使い始めて4年になりました。11月の本焼焼成の窯出しでは、釉薬が流れて棚板にくっつき事故が起きてしまいました。固まった釉薬をまんべんなく削りとって、アルミナーコーティングで補修しました。私は失敗のためとてもこたえました。

It’s been 4 years since I started to use my electric kiln Falkor. After the lost firing I did during November, some glaze dripped and stuck to the kiln shelf. I thoroughly scraped away the glaze on the shelf and coated it with alumina. It was a huge setback for me and I felt very low. 

さて芸術の秋を迎え、今年もまた京都植物園での野外彫刻展がやってきたことをお知らせします。私も他の出展者の新作品を楽しみにしています。

Anyway, it’s officially autumn now (“the season of art”!) and I’m happy to tell you that the annual Open-Air Sculpture Exhibition at Kyoto Botanical Gardens is coming back. I myself am looking forward to seeing other artists’ latest pieces.

入園料 ：［会場Ⅰ植物園］一般 200円/高校生 150円、
　　　　   [会場Ⅱ陶板名画の庭]一般・高校生 100円、
                [会場Ⅰ・Ⅱ共通券]一般 250円/高校生200円
                (いずれも中学生以下、70歳以上は無料）

9月の展示「アートの交差点」This month’s exhibition: “The Cross-Point of Arts”

 秋のシーズンになりましたがまだまだ暑い天気です。
3月の「チャリティー展」に続き、ギャラリー108の9月の「アートの交差点」に参加しました。昨日はギャラリー108にてセッティング作業を行い、今日は開催となりました。

Autumn season is coming! But it is still so hot!
Continuing from the “New Cultural Standards Okayama” charity exhibition in March held in Gallery108, I am joining their “The Cross-Point of Arts” exhibition this month. Yesterday, I brought my pieces to Gallery108 for the setting, and the exhibition is on from today.

暑い夏の創作と第14回真夏のアートフェスティバル Working in the Hot Summertime and the 14th Annual Midsummer Art Festival

 
4月に始まった第５回京都府立堂本印象美術館野外彫刻展が無事に終わりました。6月13日（月）に作品を持って帰るため京都へ行きました。
私は一度も作品を鑑賞できませんでした。兵庫県の親戚と母の友達たちが見に行って写真を撮ってくれて感謝しています。来年は私も鑑賞したいと思います！

The 5th Annual Open-Air Sculptural Exhibition at Kyoto Prefectural INSHO-DOMOTO Museum, which has started in April, is soundly finished, so on 13th June (Mon.) I went to Kyoto to bring my artwork back.
Unfortunately, I had no chance to visit and see the exhibition myself, but I’m so grateful that my relatives in Hyogo and mother’s friends went to see and photographed my art piece. Hopefully, I can enjoy the exhibition next year!

 

 

先月には、冬から夏にかけて作りためた地べた異形犬、マグカップ、キャンディーポット、イースターエッグ、子猫と犬の小さな作品を素焼きするために窯詰をしました。

To bisque fire the pieces I have been accumulating since last winter, which include the rising up Heteromorphic dog, mugs, candy-pots, Easter eggs, and small kitties and dogs, I put them into the kiln last month.
